Marketing Connection 3, part of the McHenry Area Chamber of Commerce, is hosting a fundraiser on November 17th to support our local “Shop With A Cop” program, which is provided by McHenry County Police Charities. McHenry County Police Charities is a not-for-profit organization offering the “Shop With A Cop” program to McHenry County children in need. Each child we are able to bring into the program receives a fun-filled day of shopping and activities with an officer from a department in McHenry County. The experience for the participants begins when the children are picked up by an officer in a police vehicle and taken to a local Wal-Mart store. There, they receive gifts of a winter coat, hat, gloves and boots, and get to spend $150 on gifts for their families. To complete the experience the participants are taken for breakfast by officers from various agencies. 

Without this program, many of these children would not have an enjoyable holiday season. Your donation to McHenry County Police Charities “Shop With A Cop” goes beyond helping a child in need this holiday season - it nurtures a sense of community support for those who need it most. In return, your generosity will help families build lasting ties to our area, our residents, our local law enforcement and our businesses.  
The November 17th fundraiser event will feature raffles and live auctions. In addition to monetary donations, we are seeking in-kind donations to feature in these activities. All proceeds directly benefit McHenry County Police Charities “Shop With A Cop.”

Last year's event was a resounding success thanks to volunteers and the community support. Fran Lambert and Mike Kutnick chaired the MC3 Fundraising committee that steered the activities.
